GBSN is an entirely self-funded charity. As we do not receive any government or NHS funding we must raise all our running costs ourselves. This year we will need to raise almost £30,000 to keep us going. It costs about £75 to run one group each week.
Here are our guidelines which we hope will be helpful.
You can make a one-off donation by using paypal and donate to [email protected] . Or you could make a direct transfer, please email [email protected] for further details.
You can also donate using the paypal App, use the ‘donate’ button and search for ‘Gloucestershire Breastfeeding Supporters’ Network’ – donating through the paypal App means that we will not be charged for the transaction.

If you are a tax payer, you are able to Gift Aid which increases your donation to us by 25% without any extra cost to you. Just email your name, address and postcode too.
Please note that all donations are treated as having been donated to GBSN, our umbrella charity that funds the running of MOBS in Dursley and Stroud, CRIBS, GLOBES, BEST, BAPS and BABES. If you wish to ring fence your donation which would benefit only one specific group, please contact our treasurer [email protected]
It is much harder to find grants that cover core running costs such as Peer Supporter training, insurance etc. We have more opportunities ourselves to bid for local grants for ringfenced money for the individual groups.
We uphold the WHO Code of marketing and distribution of breastmilk substitutes so we do not accept donations from non-compliant avenues.
